Join a leading healthcare consultancy as an Advanced Critical Care Practitioner on the picturesque Island of Guernsey. This role offers an attractive salary package, significant professional development opportunities, and a chance to contribute to critical care services in a well-resourced environment. Enjoy a welcoming community and a favorable tax regime, alongside generous leave and relocation benefits.
Applications are invited from appropriately-skilled and qualified Advanced Critical Care/ICU Practitioners to join the existing team of two ACCPs and two trainees at a major health facility on the beautiful Island of Guernsey, in the Channel Islands.
The Unit has the only Critical Care/Intensive Care beds on the island, currently comprising 10 beds, all equipped to level 3. Due to increasing service demands, a new purpose-built critical care unit with 12/14 beds is planned to open in 2025.
The ACCP team will expand to a total of seven and will play a vital role in providing 24/7 residency as part of the Consultant-Led medical team. You will have the opportunity to help shape and develop the ACCP service and contribute to trainee development.
Please note: Guernsey has adopted the AfC banding system but with its own salary scale. The current Band 8A salary range is £70,723 to £84,752, plus an annual bonus of £1,605 and higher unsocial hours enhancements: 36% for evenings/Saturdays and 72% for Sundays/Bank Holidays. (Please note, 2022 salary negotiations are ongoing.) Annual leave starts at 36 days, up to 42 days, with full NHS service credit for annual and sick leave.
The island of Guernsey has a population of 65,000 and offers some of Britain's finest beaches, a mild and sunny climate, and a historic harbour town, St. Peter's Port, the island's capital.
