Job summary

Kettering General Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 8a Critical Care Pharmacist to join its specialist pharmacy team. You will provide expert pharmaceutical care to critically ill patients, participate in MDT ward rounds, and contribute to service development within Critical Care.

The role includes education of the MDT, medicines management, and independent prescribing, with opportunities for professional development and accreditation.

Qualifications

• Educated to master's degree in pharmacy level or equivalent level of education, training or experience.
• Registration with the GPHC.
• Postgraduate qualification in hospital Pharmacy or equivalent (3 years +).
• Registered Independent prescriber.
• Member of Intensive Care Society.

Responsibilities

• To deliver and develop specialist clinical pharmaceutical services to Critical Care.
• To participate in consultant and MDT ward rounds with regular reviews of prescriptions.
• To ensure medicine reconciliation on admission and discharge from Critical Care.
• To liaise with MDT and primary care to ensure full drug history is available.
