Overview

Join our team at Sheffield Walk-in Centre as Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) / Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP). Sheffield Walk-in Centre is looking for an experienced ANP/ACP to join our forward-thinking service. This is a fantastic opportunity to work as part of a dedicated and supportive team with a wide range of benefits.

Role includes working flexible hours with 5 or 8 hour shifts. Shifts available are: 8:00–13:00; 17:30–22:30; 08:00–16:30; 14:00–22:30, on a rota across 7 days.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct face-to-face consultations with patients from Sheffield and the surrounding areas.
  • Manage acute presentations to the Walk-in Centre as an autonomous practitioner; support patients with acute, undifferentiated problems as well as chronic long-term conditions; refer patients to appropriate pathways when necessary.
  • Provide patient-focused, evidence-based care to a consistently high standard; assess, diagnose, and plan care, including prescribing medications where qualified and clinically indicated.
  • Use clinical expertise to determine urgency and guide patients to the best care pathways.
  • Support the wider multidisciplinary team (MDT) to ensure patients receive care from the most suitable professional.

What We’re Looking For
  • First Level Registered Nurse (NMC), HCPC registered professional, or Pharmacist
  • MSc or equivalent in Advanced Practice
  • Advanced Physical Assessment and Consultation Skills – Level 7
  • Minor Illness – Level 7
  • Non-Medical Prescribing Qualification
  • At least 3 years of post-Level 7 experience in primary or urgent care
  • Paediatric Course – Level 7 (desirable)
  • Ability to assess and treat patients with a wide range of conditions
  • Excellent communication skills and strong organizational abilities
  • Right to work in the UK: we cannot offer visa sponsorship; applicants must have the right to live and work in the UK at the time of application

OneMedical Group’s Sheffield Walk-in Centre sees 77,500 patients annually through walk-in and direct bookings via 111. We work closely with local hospitals and external partners to ensure high-quality care, with strong links to Royal Hallamshire Hospital, Northern General Hospital, The Children’s Hospital, Eye Casualty and Sexual Health Centre.

We have created a wellbeing hub to support patients with low-level mental health and social issues and are expanding the service due to its uptake.
