A prominent NHS trust in the UK seeks an Advanced Clinical Practitioner to lead physical healthcare in the Adult Eating Disorders Service. An exciting new role has arisen for an Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) to work within the Adult Eating Disorders Service as part of an ongoing system-wide mental health transformation programme.
You will work alongside Consultant Psychiatrists to develop and lead the medical (physical) healthcare component of the Lincs Adult Eating Disorder Pathway, addressing patients’ physical health needs. Candidates should have a strong background in physical healthcare advanced practice and experience working with patients with Eating Disorders.
The ideal candidate will be a registered nurse holding a Master’s Degree in Advanced Clinical Practice (ACP). Alternatively, Master’s Degree training is available, with the option to work at a Band 7 clinician level while undertaking this qualification, progressing to Band 8a upon completion.
You will possess an advanced level of autonomy, providing clinical leadership and working collaboratively with patients, carers, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, evidence-based physical health management. Research and education activities are integral to the role, supporting development and improvement in health monitoring and skillsets within the service and the wider Lincolnshire ICS.
The post is based within the specialist Adult Eating Disorders Service and involves close collaboration with stakeholders across the Lincs ICS, such as PCNs, GPs, and VCSE organizations. The team includes a variety of professionals, including Nurse Specialists, Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Dietitians, and others, with strong links to CAMHS Eating Disorders and Trust Dietetic Services. The service is part of the East Midlands Provider Collaborative, encompassing other regional Eating Disorder Services.
