Athona Limited is seeking an Advanced Clinical Practitioner for a locum role in Kent. The position is out-of-hours (18:30–08:00), Monday to Friday with weekend and bank holidays included, offering £35-£50 per hour inside IR35. Start ASAP for an initial 3-month period with potential extension.

The post requires extensive advanced clinical practice, autonomy, and a strong focus on evidence-based care across the four pillars, with a view to service improvement and leadership within a NHS setting.

Formación

• UK professional registration (NMC or HCPC) is required.
• Independent Non-Medical Prescribing (V300 or equivalent) is essential.
• Master's degree or Level 7 in Advanced Clinical Practice/advanced clinical assessment.
• Band 7 or above experience in relevant setting is required.
• Experience in multi-disciplinary working and service development is desirable.

Job Title: Advanced Clinical Practitioner

Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Clinical Practitioner to work with a NHS client of ours in Kent. This full-time locum position is based in Kent, The service is provided out of hours between the hours of 18:30 pm to 08:00 am. On weekdays and from 18:30 pm Friday through to 08:00 Monday morning including Bank Holidays.

The role is set to begin ASAP and will last for 3 months initially with a position to extend. This role is offering an hourly rate of £35-£50 Per Hour. Please note that this position is inside IR35.

Main duties of the job

Advanced clinical practice is delivered by experienced, registered health and care practitioners. It is a level of practice characterised by a high degree of autonomy and complex decision making.

The ACP will provide advanced practice according and demonstrate the 4 pillars:

1. Clinical practice: The ACP demonstrates in depth knowledge and capabilities in all aspects of health and social care encompassing advanced clinical assessment, critical thinking and clinical management skills that are evidence based and deliver high quality patient centred care. The ACP will demonstrate complex decision-making skills and competences for expanded scope of advanced clinical practice for service users and clinical teams according to needs.
2. Education and personal development: The post holder will have an organisational responsibility to promote clinical excellence in the care of service users presenting to their specialty by providing clinical advice, supervision and support as well as implementing programmes of induction and education for all health care professionals.
3. Research and development activity is a major responsibility. The individual will support in the evaluation of services within the organisation. The role will include developing audit and research projects and participating in up-dating and implementing departmental policies, protocols and guidelines, in line with national guidance and contemporary evidence.

Experience required

• Experience of practice within the four pillars
• Experience and expertise in of assessing and managing complex patients/ caseloads
• Experience of prescribing and undertaking medication reviews
• Substantial experience of clinical work in relevant setting
• Evidence of continued professional development
• Worked as or are working as a band 7 or above
• Experience of effective multi-disciplinary/agency working and established interpersonal and
• negotiation skills
• Experience of service improvement initiatives Evidence of involvement in policy and practice change Clinical work in an autonomous role.
• Experience of leading service development
• Experience in using research evaluation / audit tools and demonstrating need. Experience of clinically supervising others

Essential

Professional Registration: Valid registration with a UK professional body like the NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council) or HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council).
Prescribing: Independent Non-Medical Prescribing qualification (V300 or equivalent).
Advanced Practice: Master’s degree or Level 7 postgraduate award in Advanced Clinical Practice / advanced clinical assessment.
