Job summary

Badger Health Group is seeking experienced Advanced Clinical/Nurse Practitioners to join our Out of Hours clinical workforce across Birmingham and Solihull. We offer self-employed opportunities across evenings, weekends and overnight services to fit around your existing commitments.

You will work autonomously to assess, diagnose and manage patients presenting with undifferentiated conditions within an urgent primary care setting, delivering care via telephone consultations, face-to-face

Qualifications

  • Independently assess, examine, diagnose and treat patients of all ages (Including children under 5).
  • Deliver care via telephone consultations, face to face appointments and home visits.
  • Prescribe safely within your scope of practice.
  • Make autonomous clinical decisions using advanced assessment and diagnostic skills.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
  • Work with GPs and the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver safe patient care.

Responsibilities

We are excited to invite experienced Advanced Clinical/Nurse Practitioners to join our growing Out of Hours clinical workforce across Birmingham and Solihull.

Our clinicians deliver high-quality urgent primary care working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team.

Whether you are looking for sessions or occasional work to fit around your existing commitments, we offer self-employed opportunities across evenings, weekends and overnight services.

As an Advanced Clinical Practitioner / Advanced Nurse Practitioner, you will work autonomously to assess, diagnose and manage patients presenting with undifferentiated and undiagnosed conditions within an urgent primary care setting.

You will:
  • Independently assess, examine, diagnose and treat patients of all ages (Including children under 5).
  • Deliver care via telephone consultations, face to face appointments and home visits.
  • Prescribe safely within your scope of practice.
  • Make autonomous clinical decisions using advanced assessment and diagnostic skills.
  • Recognise deteriorating patients and escalation appropriately.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with GPs and the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, effective patient care.
  • Current NMC or HCPC registration.
  • MSc Advanced Clinical Practice (or equivalent advanced practice qualification).
  • Recent experience within Primary Care, Urgent Treatment Centre or Out of Hours services.
  • Excellent clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
  • Comfortable using IT systems and Microsoft Office
