Bradford Student Health Service is a university GP practice in Bradford seeking an Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join the team. The ACP will work with patients autonomously in assessment, diagnosis and treatment, developing long‑term relationships and participating in multidisciplinary care.
ACPs in primary care can prescribe and manage a wide range of conditions, collaborating with both primary and secondary care teams.
The post-holder is an Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP).
They have been assessed as competent in practice using their advanced clinical knowledge and skills. They have the freedom and authority to act and make autonomous decisions in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patients.
The post-holder works at the level of advanced clinical practice and has developed and can evidence the underpinning competencies applicable to the specialty or subject area, i.e., the knowledge, skills and behaviours appropriate to the healthcare professionals setting and job role.
ACPs in primary care can develop close, long-term relationships with their patients and work in partnership with them to achieve optimum health. An ACP is autonomous in making decisions based on assessment, diagnosis and the interpretation of test results and will initiate, evaluate and modify a range of interventions which may include prescribing medicines, therapies, lifestyle advice and care.
