The post holder will play a key role in the management of patients with a range of neurological and neurosurgical conditions, including active involvement in prescribing medicines for this specialist patient group. The role will also support the supervision and development of pharmacists and technicians within the neurosciences service, ensuring the provision of a high-quality, safe and effective clinical pharmacy service.
We are seeking a dynamic, motivated and forward-thinking clinical pharmacist, ideally with demonstrable experience in neurosciences, who will act as an integral member of the multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will undertake ward rounds, specialist clinics, contribute to and attend MDT meetings, and work closely with consultants, specialist nurses and allied health professionals to optimise medicines use and support complex clinical decision-making.
The post holder will be supported by the Lead Clinical Pharmacists and will be an experienced pharmacist with the ability to provide clinical leadership and take responsibility for the delivery of a proactive, patient-centred specialist pharmacy service across neurosciences. The role also offers opportunities to work collaboratively with teams across the organisation, contributing to service development, education, research and cross-site working.
