A leading NHS Foundation Trust in London is seeking a candidate for a laboratory position within Blood Sciences. The role involves handling samples and supporting out-of-hours testing. Successful candidates will be required to work shifts and will receive training. This is an opportunity to be part of an innovative approach to patient care in a collaborative environment.
The successful applicant will be able to work with laboratory equipment and processes across the Blood Sciences disciplines (Biochemistry, Haematology, Blood Transfusion and Central Pathology Reception) whilst being primarily based within Central Reception. Whilst full training will be provided, proven experience of working in a diagnostic pathology department and knowledge across a range of laboratory procedures will be advantageous. The successful candidates will be expected to participate in the 24hr shift system after suitable training. Continuous professional development (CPD) will be encouraged.
