Job title: Advance Practitioner

Band: Band 7

To be considered for this role you need a minimum of 6 months NHS experience within the last 2 years.

Job description:

Athona is currently recruiting for agency Advance practitioners for shift work, with an opportunity based in London. You will be working as a Band 7 Advance Practitioner for an NHS Trust.

  1. Manage patients from the first point of contact, often analysing highly complex facts and situations and is accountable for the total episode of care for patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed needs.
  2. Act as a role model, delivering advanced practice and promoting clinical effectiveness in care.
  3. Work closely with all members of the multidisciplinary team and will play an integral role in the operational/strategic development of the service.
  4. Work autonomously in delivering independent assessment, clinical diagnosis, clinical decision making and planning of care and treatment, diagnosis, prescribing (where qualified to do so), health promotion.
  5. Promote and facilitate evidence-based practice and clinical audit and research within the Trust.
  6. Work collaboratively with other health care professionals and disciplines and provide leadership and education to others and to maintain a culture of continuous professional development to achieve the highest standards of clinical services.
  7. The post holder is required to comply with, uphold and promote organisational policies and procedures.

This agency nursing role gives the option of flexible working, where you would be able to choose if you would like to pick up full time or part time work.

Minimum Requirements:
  1. Full NMC registration
  2. Enhanced DBS
