Qualifications

Overview

Ackerman Pierce is currently supporting a leading local authority who are looking to recruit a Qualified Social Worker - Adult's Mental Health team based in Kingston (Hybrid). The Qualified Social Worker - Adult's Mental Health vacancy will be on a permanent basis paying £42,060 - £46,968 P/Annum

Responsibilities
  • Working with Vulnerable Adults with Mental Health
  • To undertake statutory duties related to the care of adults and of their carers as defined in the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Mental Health Act 1983
  • To keep up-to-date with developments, products and information relating to the service and the rest of the council to ensure that appropriate and timely information is given to customers.
  • To ensure proportionate risk assessments for both the customer and the carer associated with any support plan have been carried out.
  • To undertake reviews of customers with long term needs as required and within statutory timelines and carry out reassessments as required
  • To develop and maintain effective working relationships with all partners (both internal and external) to ensure that the team can deliver a co-ordinated, timely and appropriate service to the customer
  • Care management
  • Report writing and assessment
  • Carrying a caseload of service users
  • Liaising with other professional bodies whilst working within the Mental Health Act
  • Safeguarding Adults
  • Self-directed support/personal budgets
Experience and Qualifications
  • Post qualifying experience of working within a Qualified Social Worker - Adult's Mental Health position within the UK Social Care industry.
  • Knowledge of the Care Act (2014) and other relevant legislation
  • Either be a qualified AMHP or be willing to train as an Approved Mental Health professional.
Minimum Requirements
  • SWE Registration
  • 1 year post qualifying experience within the UK Social Care industry
  • Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you)
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
