Qualifications

Qualified Social Worker - Adults Contact & Assessment x 2

Cardiff

Qualified Social Workers x 2 are required for an initial 6-9 month contract to cover matertnity leave to join Cardiff Councils' Contact and Assessment Team. Pay rate for this role is to be confirmed. These positions will be offer hybrid working and when on site be based at County Hall in Cardiff.

Job role
  • To assist people to resolve major difficulties in their lives and to enhance their independence and coping skills
  • To work within current legislation and Council policy, procedures and practice to assess, commission and review services, including planned interventions, for a specific client group.
  • To work within the statutory guidance and policy/procedural framework to assist in protecting those who are at risk or vulnerable.
  • To contribute to the development and maintenance of workable systems to ensure quality of service across the city and the identification of people particularly at risk.
  • To work positively with colleagues in the statutory and independent sector to ensure an appropriate multi-agency approach, and to empower clients to speak for themselves

Good knowledge and understanding of the SSWA and strength based practice, is required.

  • A minimum of 6 months experience of working in the UK as a registered social worker
  • A relevant Social Work Qualification and experience in adults services.
  • Registration with Social Care Wales / Social Work England
  • Enhanced DBS, registered on the update service or be happy to apply for a DBS
  • 3 Years of referencing
  • Driving license with access to a car
