Please be aware this is a Long Term Temporary post to start ASAP.

Adults Advanced Practitioner – MASH & Peripatetic Role

We’re looking for an experienced Adults Advanced Practitioner to join Oldham Council’s frontline team on a full-time, hybrid basis.

You’ll initially be based in the Adults Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH), leading the screening and triage of safeguarding referrals. However, this is a peripatetic role, meaning you may be required to support other Adult Social Care (ASC) teams across the service as operational needs evolve.

  • Lead on complex Care Act assessments and safeguarding enquiries
  • Manage risk effectively and ensure statutory responsibilities are met
  • Work across multiple service areas to provide experienced practitioner input
  • Contribute to effective multi-agency working and timely decision making
  • Support team development and share best practice in safeguarding

Proven background in complex Care Act work and safeguarding in Adults Services

Confidence operating in fast-paced MASH or front door environments

Flexibility to work across teams as part of a peripatetic model

HCPC / Social Work England registration

Strong knowledge of legislation, policy and procedures in adult safeguarding
