Job description

Social Worker - Adult Services

As an Adult Social Worker, you will handle a range of complex cases, collaborating with other agencies and professionals. You will work in partnership with individuals and their families/carers to assess their needs and provide tailored support.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Building effective relationships and communication channels with colleagues, service users, and professionals to deliver appropriate interventions.
  2. Mentoring and coaching junior colleagues.
  3. Evaluating and monitoring progress against planned interventions.
  4. Assessing the needs of service users, their families, carers, and communities to support positive change.
  5. Participating in safeguarding investigations as required.
  6. Implementing department policies and procedures in accordance with statutory responsibilities.

Requirements:

  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience in partnership working and relationship building.

  • Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS if not already held.
  • Strong knowledge of social work theories and practices.
  • Experience managing risk within complex caseloads.
