Hours: 28 hours per week (Monday to Friday, flexible)

Salary: PAYE: £26.55 per hour | Umbrella: £34.03 per hour

Are you a compassionate and qualified Social Worker with expertise in supporting adults with disabilities? NRW People is excited to offer a temporary role with Powys County Council, based at Neuadd Brycheiniog in Brecon. Starting 20 October 2025, this 12-week position addresses a temporary peak in workload, offering a part-time opportunity to enhance the lives of adults with disabilities in a supportive Welsh community.

What You’ll Do:
  • Conduct assessments and develop personalised care plans for adults with disabilities, ensuring their safety, independence, and well-being.
  • Provide tailored support and advocacy, collaborating with healthcare providers, families, and community resources.
  • Monitor and review cases, offering interventions to address complex needs such as mobility or mental health challenges.
  • Maintain accurate records and comply with Social Care Wales standards and safeguarding protocols.
  • Contribute to community-based initiatives, supporting adults in Brecon and surrounding areas (e.g., 24 minutes to Crickhowell, 30 minutes to Builth Wells).
What We’re Looking For:
  • A qualified Social Worker with experience in adult social care, specialising in disabilities.
  • Strong assessment and case management skills, with a person-centred approach to care.
  • Ability to work part-time (28 hours) and travel within Powys as needed.
  • Candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance to Brecon, Powys.
Essential Requirements:
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Signed Confidentiality Agreement (required upon offer acceptance).
  • Criminal Convictions Declaration (required upon offer acceptance).
