Job Purpose
- To lead and manage complex casework within Neighbourhood Teams, supporting residents through a strengths-based, person-centred approach. The Senior Practitioner will act as a key advisor and advocate, working collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality outcomes. The role also contributes to service development, policy improvement, and the mentoring of staff, ensuring Camden’s vision of radical social change and inclusive support is realised.
Key Duties/Accountabilities- Manage a small caseload of complex cases, ensuring high standards of care and support.
- Provide professional advice and consultation to colleagues and external agencies.
- Lead on service reviews, policy development, and implementation of best practices.
- Promote “What Matters” strengths-based approach in all interactions.
- Support integrated working across health, social care, and community services.
- Deputise for the Team Manager when required.
- Oversee practice quality for out-of-borough placements.
- Mentor and supervise up to six staff members, supporting their development through coaching, reflective practice, and supervision.
Essential Experience Required- Significant experience in adult social care or a related field, managing complex cases.
- Proven ability to lead and supervise staff, promoting high-quality practice.
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams and integrated service environments.
- Professional qualification in Social Work, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, or equivalent.
- Registration with the relevant professional body (e.g., Social Work England).
- Evidence of continued professional development.
- HCPC Registration is required
Additional information to note- Working hours: 36 hours per week
- Enhanced DBS is required for the role.
