Job Title: Adults - Advanced Social Work Practitioner

Salary: £32.67 per hour

Location: Telford & Wrekin, Shropshire

Contract: Full-Time, Temporary

About the Role:

Telford & Wrekin is seeking a skilled and experienced Advanced Social Work Practitioner to join its Adult Social Care team. This role is pivotal in providing expert guidance on complex cases, supporting the development of practice standards, and ensuring high-quality outcomes for vulnerable adults.

As an Advanced Practitioner, you will provide leadership within the team while holding a reduced caseload focused on complex assessments, safeguarding enquiries, court work, and multi-agency collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and support social workers in managing complex cases
  • Undertake Care Act assessments, safeguarding enquiries, and best interest decisions; act as a practice lead in multi-disciplinary meetings and court proceedings
  • Promote strengths-based, person-centred practice across the service
  • Contribute to staff development, mentoring, and reflective supervision
  • Ensure compliance with Care Act 2014, MCA, DoLS, and other relevant legislation
