Job summary

Priory Hospital Ticehurst House, part of Priory Group, is seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to establish or expand a private practice within their established private hospital. The role requires commitment to at least three days per week, joining a supportive, multidisciplinary team focused on clinical excellence in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Candidate must have GMC Specialist Registration and substantive NHS experience, with a patient-centred approach and strong leadership

Qualifications

• GMC Specialist Registration in General Adult Psychiatry.
• Substantive NHS Consultant experience (typically at least two years).
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage private adult inpatients and outpatients.
• Deliver high-quality evidence-based psychiatric care.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Participate in governance and quality improvement.
• Develop relationships with referrers.
• Maintain appraisal and GMC revalidation requirements.
