Scottish Borders Council is offering a permanent position focusing on Adult Support & Protection services within the Public Protection Committee. The role involves auditing current practices, delivering training, and ensuring compliance with local and national guidelines to enhance the support provided to adults and their families. Ideal candidates will possess a Diploma in Social Work and relevant experience, ensuring the council's commitment to service excellence.
Grade: 9A
Hourly Rate: £22.98 - £24.82
Salary: £41,950.13 - £45,308.13 per annum
Contract Duration: Permanent

An opportunity has arisen to be involved in the work of the Public Protection Committee, to ensure the highest level of practice in relation to Adult Support & Protection is delivered across the Scottish Borders.
The post requires the right candidate to complete audits around how Adult Support & Protection services currently run, highlighting areas for improvement and lessons that can be learned. This includes linking in with Local and National agendas / legislation, guidance and Learning Reviews to provide the best service for Adults and their families / carers who become involved with Adult Support & Protection services in the Scottish Borders.
This post also includes training development and delivery.
A Diploma (or equivalent) in Social Work
Registration with SSSC Post Graduate Adult Support & Protection Certificate or willing to undertake such qualification
A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is an essential requirement of this post. Type of drivers licence: Category B * If you have a disability which precludes you from holding a drivers licence, Scottish Borders Council will take into account its responsibility to make reasonable adjustments to allow for your disability.
