Essential criteria:

• Degree in Social Work
• SWE Registration
• Right to work within the UK

We have an exciting role for a qualified social worker to join the Safeguarding Adult Team in Bolton.

This is a borough-wide service dealing with new customers or customers not currently allocated to qualified workers in other teams. Responsibilities include working as a duty worker screening safeguarding referrals, approximately 2 days per week, and managing your own Section 42 enquiries under the Care Act 2014.

We are a small, dedicated team who are very supportive of each other. The worker will be required to follow the safeguarding policy and procedures in Bolton and should have knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act, as MCA assessments and Best Interests decisions are a large part of the work.

Requirements include:

• A professional qualification in social work
• Social Work England registration
• Enhanced DBS/Update service
• References covering the last 5 years of employment
