Exciting Opportunity Alert: Join Our Dynamic Adult Safeguarding Social Work Team at Bury Council!
Safeguarding is an area of social work where you can use all of your social work skills and expertise to improve the outcomes and life chances for individuals and their families. Are you interested in joining our commitment to working with people to live the lives they choose, supporting them to manage risk, all whilst practicing in a supportive environment?
If so, there is an opportunity to join us, as we are looking to recruit an individual with the passion, relevant knowledge, skills, and experience of adult safeguarding.
Demonstrating sound knowledge of the relevant social care legislation and policies relating to adult safeguarding and being confident in applying them to practice is key to this opportunity. Equally important is that you have a passion for supporting people to make their own decisions and supporting their outcomes.
This is an opportunity to join a supportive, inclusive team, working with people with a variety of care needs who are at risk of abuse and neglect. You will be required to work collaboratively with a range of different services and organisations; ensuring that the individual is at the heart of the safeguarding process.
We are seeking a confident communicator and team player who is quick to learn and able to manage a varied caseload. You will be keen to enhance your professional development and be committed to participating in peer discussions and learning. You will be required to assess and manage risk and use appropriate escalation processes.
