A leading company in social work is seeking two experienced Adult Social Workers for a long-term temporary position in Huddersfield. Applicants must hold a Degree in Social Work and have SWE registration. The role includes assessing service users, coordinating care plans for discharge, and may involve safeguarding duties. We require 2 experienced social workers to work in our hospital team based at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary for a period of 3 months whilst we recruit to permanent positions.
The role requires the social workers to assess service users in hospital under the Care Act and to co-ordinate a care and support plan to support a timely discharge from the acute hospital. The social worker will be expected to carry out Mental Capacity Act assessments and Best Interests decision where appropriate. There is an expectation that reviews will need to be undertaken following the hospital discharge including the need to attend Decision Support Tool meetings.
Adult Safeguarding work may also have to be undertaken as part of the role. We do have a duty rota and after gaining further experience in the team the agency social worker would be expected to cover duty work.
The role is full time – 37 hours a week Mondays to Fridays.

– Degree in Social Work
– SWE Registration
– Right to work within the UK

You must have:
A professional qualification in social work
Social Work England registration.
Enhanced DBS/Update service.
References required for the last 5 years of employment.
