Position: Adults Mental Health Social Worker

Please note: This is a Long Term Temporary post starting ASAP.

Essential Criteria:

• Degree in Social Work
• SWE Registration
• Right to work within the UK

Role Details:

Qualified Social Worker with evidence of relevant qualifications and a minimum of 5 years post-qualifying experience. Registered with Social Work England. Experience within an Adult Social Care statutory setting, working with individuals with severe and enduring mental ill-health. Skilled in assessments of need, reviews, care planning, commissioning support, statutory safeguarding under s42(1) and s42(2) of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Assessments, and knowledge of relevant legislation such as the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, Mental Health Act, and GDPR. Full clean driving license and 2 references required. Employment history gaps will be verified.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience completing social circumstance reports for Tribunals and Managers Hearings
• Understanding risk management within a mental health setting

Job Responsibilities:

Undertake statutory social work functions within an Adult Care mental health service, including assessments, reviews, care plan updates, safeguarding, mental capacity assessments, and facilitating hospital discharges. Knowledge of mental health pathways is advantageous.

Working Pattern:

37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Some remote work possible with manager approval; primarily office-based due to client needs.
