Adult Social Worker – Community Care Operations Team

Location: Oban (Hybrid Role with Travel to the Isles)

Salary: Negotiable starting from £40,000 per annum (Permanent Role)

Hours: Full-time 35 hours per week (Hybrid working available)

What you’ll do

As part of their collaborative and supportive team you will:

  • Deliver high-quality social work services to adults in need across Oban, Lorn & the Isles.
  • Carry out strengths-based assessments and develop personalised care plans.
  • Coordinate referrals and liaise with other services to ensure joined-up support.
  • Promote independence and wellbeing through community-based solutions.
  • Travel to island communities within the service area (accommodation and travel support provided).
What Argyll & Bute are looking for
  • A qualified and registered Social Worker (SSSC).
  • Experience in adult services or community care settings.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (travel is an essential part of this role).
  • Strong communication, assessment and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a dynamic caseload.
