What is the job role?

You will be expected to carry out professional supervision to Social Workers and Community Case Workers and support the development of your team, and their continuous professional development. The role requires you to lead on safeguarding enquiries, act on behalf of the service manager in their absence, manage performance, oversee daily operational matters, monitor and improve quality, and contribute to the overall development of the service.

This is a challenging but fulfilling role within a busy, vibrant team. We are looking for a qualified Social Worker who is registered with Social Work England who has experience working within Adult Social Care. The Ideal candidate will have a good working knowledge of the Care Act 2014 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005, and be able to support their team by working within this legislation. We are looking for an individual who is committed to achieving positive outcomes.

This post is exempt under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, and as such, appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
