Sellick Partnership is exclusively recruiting a permanent Childcare Lawyer to join the supportive Legal Team at Lewisham. The role is suitable for qualified lawyers with experience in Childcare Law, preferably from a local authority but open to private practice applicants seeking a transfer. The position offers hybrid working, with attendance required at the Catford office twice a week.

Main duties include:

• Deputising for Senior Social Care Lawyers
• Managing a busy caseload of child protection cases and undertaking advocacy in the Central Family Court
• Advising Social Services clients on relevant legislation in person and in writing
• Preparing legal documentation, court documents, and assisting with complex matters
• Attending meetings with clients, professionals, and panels, providing legal advice
• Conducting legal research

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Childcare Lawyer, ideally with a local government background. The successful candidate must be a qualified lawyer with at least X years PQE (Barrister, Solicitor, or CILEx) and hold a current practising certificate.
