Job summary

Qualifications

• Avocat(e) qualifié(e) avec une spécialisation en droit social.
• Expérience dans le secteur public ou l'autorité locale.
• Expérience post-qualification dans le droit de l'aide sociale.

Responsibilities

• Conseiller sur les questions de droit de l'aide sociale, y compris la protection judiciaire.
• Préparer et participer à des plaidoyers si souhaité.
• Représenter le Borough et les clients externes.

Are you a driven social care law specialist looking to make a difference in the public sector? Venn Group is working with a positive and welcoming legal team in a London Borough in their pursuit of a Adult Social Care Lawyer on a locum basis for an initial 3-month period.

Requirements:

• Qualified Lawyer, with a valid practising certificate in the UK
• Specialism within Adult Social Care Law, with experience of practising post-qualification
• Experience working for any public sector organisation or local authority

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Advising on all matters of adult social care law, including court of protection
• Advising on areas of law such as the Mental Capacity Act, deputyship
• Attending and preparing for advocacy, advocacy is not a prerequisite for this role, but you can do if you like
• Representing the Borough and external clients as appropriate
• Deputise for senior members of the legal team as appropriate
