The position is initially for 3 months, with the possibility of extension.

Qualifications

• Qualified Lawyer with a valid practising certificate in the UK.
• Experience in Adult Social Care Law, post-qualification.
• Experience working for public sector organisations or local authorities.

Responsibilities

• Advising on all matters of adult social care law, including court of protection.
• Representing the Borough and external clients as appropriate.
• Deputising for senior members of the legal team as appropriate.

Are you a driven social care law specialist looking to make a difference in the public sector? Venn Group is working with a positive and welcoming legal team in a London Borough in their pursuit of aAdult Social Care Lawyeron alocumbasis for an initial 3-month period.

Requirements:

• Qualified Lawyer, with a valid practising certificate in the UK
• Specialism within Adult Social Care Law, with experience of practising post-qualification
• Experience working for any public sector organisation or local authority

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Advising on all matters of adult social care law, including court of protection
• Advising on areas of law such as the Mental Capacity Act and deputyship
• Attending and preparing for advocacy, advocacy is not a prerequisitte for this role, but you can do if you like
• Representing the Borough and external clients as appropriate
• Deputise for senior members of the legal team as appropriate
