  • £38,925 - £44,305 per annum (pro rata for part time)
  • Plus retention payments for 2, 3, and 5 years of service: £1,000, £1,500, and £2,000
  • Full-time and Part-time hours available
  • Permanent

We are recruiting countywide for Senior Social Workers in Adult Social Care.

Senior Social Workers demonstrate expertise in complex situations, managing own caseloads, supporting colleagues, and advising on practice standards. Experience in developing relationships with partners and other agencies to improve outcomes is essential.

What you will need

You should have significant social work experience, be a qualified, registered social worker with completed Assessed and Supported Year in Employment, and have evidence of ongoing professional development. An understanding of the financial aspects of care packages and the ability to make clear, risk-aware decisions are also required. A valid driving license and access to personal transport are necessary.

The team

We have multiple posts:

  • The Willows: supporting adults with mental health issues in Later Life, managing hospital discharges, and conducting aftercare reviews.
  • Bury Town: serving adults in Bury St Edmunds, conducting assessments, safeguarding, and review of care plans.
  • Waveney: part of the Great Yarmouth and North Suffolk Integrated Care Board, focusing on integrated health and social care, with occasional travel to support discharge processes.
