Job summary

Halton Borough Council is seeking an qualified professional to join the adult safeguarding team in Runcorn. The role involves taking safeguarding referrals, assessing risk, implementing interim measures, and coordinating with partner agencies to determine next steps in adult safeguarding cases.

The post requires a Social Work degree and registration with Social Work England, with sound knowledge of relevant legislation and strong record-keeping capabilities.

Qualifications

• To hold a degree in Social Work or equivalent and be registered with Social Work England.
• Experience assessing safeguarding referrals and risk in adult safeguarding.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and ability to coordinate with agencies.

Responsibilities

• Take receipt of safeguarding referrals and assess risk.
• Implement interim safeguarding measures and plan next steps.
• Liaise with partner agencies and document case records.
• Manage complex s42 enquiries as applicable.
