Main Duties/Responsibilities

As an Adult Psychiatry Consultant, you will:

• Assess new referrals, deliver therapy, or refer patients for interventions, and review medications.
• Formulate care plans, prescribe treatments, and guide evidence-based practices.
• Support patients and families, explaining diagnoses and treatments clearly.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team for shared decision-making.
• Lead or participate in multidisciplinary teams.
• Prioritize patient needs, delegate tasks, and monitor patient progress.
• Perform administrative tasks, record keeping, and treatment monitoring.
• Mentor junior doctors and medical students.

Qualifications/Licenses/Certifications

• MBChB or equivalent
• CCT or CESR at interview or in training, within six months of CCT
• Inclusion on GMC's Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCT/CESR
• Recent NHS experience within the last 3 years
