The post provides the opportunity to be employed as the Lead Officer based at Renfrewshire House supporting the Renfrewshire Adult Support and Protection Committee and specifically the Chair of the Committee in developing the ASP agenda across the different professional and organisational groups represented within the committee.

The post holder will link into the national framework for ASP and Social Work Scotland in developing high standards of practice within Renfrewshire in partnership with operational managers and training sections across the different partner agencies/professions consistent with national inspection requirements.

It is essential you hold a professional qualification in Social Work, Health or equivalent for Police/Other services. Experience of working across adult services and adult support and protection and knowledge of recent research and reports in adult protection are also required.

IT, organisational, planning, analytical and report writing skills as well as effective verbal and written communication skills are also essential.

The requirement to work occasional evenings and weekends is essential should this be required.

Experience in Mental Health and the use of SWIFT is desirable.

Full training and support will be provided to ensure that the successful candidate is able to maintain the service's commitment to continuous improvement.
