A healthcare provider in Scotland is seeking an Adult Protection Advisor to join their Public Protection Team. This role involves providing expert advice on adult safeguarding and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation. Candidates must be Registered Nurses or Allied Health Professionals with a relevant degree and have experience in safeguarding. The position supports a team committed to delivering high-quality care.

Based at either Murray Royal Hospital, Perth or Wallacetown Health Centre, Dundee
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the NHS Tayside Public Protection Team as an Adult Protection Advisor.
The Public Protection team provides evidence based, expert advice and support to staff with regards to adult/child safeguarding. The Adult Protection Advisors participate and lead in service development, training, audits, multi-agency meetings and reviews to ensure health obligations with regards to safeguarding adults are met, in line with the four Pillars of Practice developed by NHS Education for Scotland.
To enable organisational compliance with the Adult Support and Protection (Scotland) 2007 Act and other protective legislation and guidance, the post holder will work to ensure effective systems and processes are in place in NHS Tayside to meet the needs of adults requiring support and protection. The needs of the adult are paramount here; you will be required to work in an innovative, flexible and trauma-informed way to advocate on behalf of people whose needs may not neatly fit within the boundaries of services.
It is essential you are a Registered Nurse /Allied Health Professional with a first level degree. You also require a Post Graduate Certificate in Adult Protection OR are currently working towards this qualification OR willingness to undertake this course and relevant experience.
