Adult Locality Manager

Herts & West Essex Integrated Care Board is a leading NHS organisation with an award-winning governing body. Working closely with partner organisations, the ICB'sstaff design, plan and commission health services for more than half a million people and monitor the quality and effectiveness of those services.The ICB currently has a vacancy for a Locality Manager within the All Age Continuing Care (AACC) team.

The post holder will work alongside the Locality Lead, and deputise in his/her absence, as a key clinical resource to support patient flow for individuals requiring an assessment for or found eligible for NHS Continuing Healthcare, Funded Nursing Care or CHC Fast Track. A key aspect of the role will be to provide professional leadership within their field of expertise to the wider teams and to provide clinical oversight and knowledge to support system-wide patient flow.

Main duties of the job

The post-holder will be responsible for the day to day line management of the Clinical Leads within the AACC team and will have dynamic leadership and excellent communication skills.

The position is office based.

About us

In addition to the basic salary, this post attracts a High Cost Area Supplement of 5% of basic salary subject to a minimum and maximum payment per annum (pro rata where applicable) in line with Agenda for Change.

Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse with active UK NMC registration
  • Educated to Masters level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in specialist area.

Knowledge
  • Extensive knowledge of CHC specialist areas, acquired through post graduate diploma or equivalent experience or training plus further specialist knowledge or experience to master's level equivalent
  • Must have specific knowledge of the National Framework for NHS Continuing Healthcare/Funded Nursing Care and related guidance/policies
  • Skilled at undertaking nursing assessments and ability to make decisions based on assessments and to justify decisions to professionals and cares based on evidence
