Community Planning and Development is seeking to recruit enthusiastic Adult Learning Tutors to deliver classes and learning activities as part of our community-based Adult Learning programme. Our classes aim to provide opportunities for adults to come together with others, to develop their skills and interests as part of a friendly, informal group.
Adult Learning Tutors will be responsible, through the Adult Learning Development Officer, for developing the content and delivering the class in their specific subject. Classes take place in community venues throughout Shetland, mostly in the evening and at weekends, with some daytime delivery.
We are keen to recruit tutors who can deliver digital skills, British Sign Language, traditional dance, cooking and baking, music, creative writing, sewing (repairs & alterations), arts & crafts, yoga, photography, photo editing and languages. Applications also welcome from anyone interested in delivering classes in other subjects too.
