Job summary

Connected Voice in Newcastle is seeking an Experienced Learning Disability Skills practitioner to deliver training to small groups of adults with learning disabilities on a part-time basis. Sessions run both on-site at the Newcastle Hub and in the wider community, focusing on independent living and employment skills with ASDAN accreditation.

Applicants should hold a teaching or training qualification, have an enhanced DBS and safeguarding training, and be able to work with Easy Read formats.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching or training small groups of adults with additional needs within community (not home-based) settings.
• Experience delivering travel training sessions.
• Experience of planning and delivering differentiation, and strong understanding of Easy Read format.

Responsibilities

• Deliver training sessions to adults with learning disabilities in community and on-site settings.
• Provide ASDAN-accredited training focused on independent living and employment skills.
• Plan and deliver differentiated sessions with Easy Read materials.
