Qualifications

Job description

Senior Practitioner with the Adult Learning Disabilities Team

We are looking for skilled Social Workers who will bring to this role high quality and effective social work support, delivering excellent strengths-based assessments, intervention, care planning and support service to people with learning disabilities.

The Ideal candidate will possess a good working knowledge of the Adult Social care legal framework that underpins Social Work. Develop their knowledge of local resources/options for adults with a learning disabilities diagnosis and where to access these. Work collaboratively with individuals, their carers and with other professionals and agencies. You will also have a good understanding and working knowledge of Continuing Health Care processes and assessments. Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults. Mental capacity and Best Interest processes. Supervising staff members.

You will have an excellent and demonstrable knowledge of relevant social care and health legislation, policies, procedures and best practice guides. You will have the skills to respond appropriately to unexpected events and crisis and have the ability to recognise signs of harm, abuse and neglect and how to manage these issues.

You will have previous experience in a similar role, and have 3 years PQE. Registration with SWE is vital and you will have full right to work in the UK.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Contract length: 3 months

Pay: £35.00-£37.00 per hour

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Central London
