Where care and support is required we work to ensure that this reflects the individual’s assessed needs and strengths while promoting their independence, choice and control. We encourage positive risk taking with a ‘home is best’ philosophy, this is reflected in our performance as Telford and Wrekin is proud to have a lower than national average per population of admissions into long term placements for older people.

The Social Worker roles are expected to undertake statutory Social Work functions in line with the Care Act and the Mental Capacity Act.
