Job description

The post holder will be required to work closely with and support the Cystic Fibrosis (CF) team across inpatient, outpatient, and community areas, providing direct care to young people and adults with cystic fibrosis and their families.

Responsibilities:

1. Work as part of the CF team in inpatient, outpatient, and community settings.
2. Provide evidence-based care for patients and their families attending for clinical review, port-a-cath access, long line insertion, intravenous antibiotic administration, and treatment monitoring.
3. Develop a clear link between patient care in inpatient, outpatient, and community settings.
4. Assess patients’ competencies related to intravenous drug reconstitution, administration, and use of medical equipment.
5. Facilitate the timely review, admission, and discharge of patients.
