Job Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed Adult Consultant Psychiatrist to work at a leading hospital service in Newark, Nottinghamshire. The hospital is a purpose-built low secure facility offering assessment and recovery-based treatments, including trauma-specific pathways for women with complex needs.

**Candidates must hold an MRCPsych or equivalent and have full GMC registration.**

The key responsibilities include:

  • Assessing, treating, and discharging patients safely
  • Quality assurance, handling complaints, and co-production
  • Delivering NICE guidance
  • Managing the CPA and ICR processes to ensure compliance with standards

Preferred skills and experience:

  • Innovative and able to initiate decisions at a corporate level
  • Knowledge of current developments in psychiatry and mental health
  • Understanding of change management, legislation, and contractual issues
  • Previous experience as a Consultant
