To work within the ACL strand to design and deliver high quality teaching and learning courses for adults at venues across Bath and the surrounding areas. Topics for delivery needed include: Horticulture, Sustainability, Family Learning, Maths, Crafts, Languages.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver courses for adults with a high standard of teaching and learning.
- Plan and deliver specialist sessions using appropriate teaching methods in line with Ofsted standards.
- Support, advise and assist learners to help them progress through the course by providing clear personal objectives and developmental feedback.
- Produce plans of learning, learning materials, and related activities to enhance learning effectiveness.
- Embed personal development into all course planning and delivery.
- Adhere to quality processes within RARPA guidelines.
- Induct learners into courses with clear communication on expectations, personal development, and safeguarding.
- Provide pathways and identify CEIAG support for learner progression.
- Lead course planning and development, ensuring needs are met and courses are completed timely.
- Procure resources efficiently and communicate needs timely with the ACL team.
- Identify and support students' individual needs, coordinating relevant support.
- Provide pastoral support and liaise with support staff as necessary.
- Gather and act on student feedback to improve learning experiences.
- Evaluate course effectiveness through review and evaluation processes.
- Serve as a communication point for students.
- Promote the department and college proactively.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
- Teaching Qualification at Level 3 or above.
- At least a Level 3 in the area of specialization or study.
- Equivalent of GCSE grade 4 (previously C) or above in English & Mathematics.
