Job description

On behalf of our client, NRL is recruiting for an ADR HGV Driver for work based in the Coalville area.

ESSENTIAL:

  • At least 1 year of Heavy Goods Vehicle Driver experience
  • A valid Full UK CAT C1/C1E licence, 7.5t licence, or Class 2 licence
  • ADR A Valid CPC card
  • A valid Digital Tachograph Card

Duration: Permanent Role

Location: Coalville LE67 1TU

Hours: 45 hours per week

Role Requirements: Right to Work in the UK

Role Overview:

The primary duty of our drivers is to drive safely to your destination. You will work with a well-established industrial gas cylinder supplier, with duties including regional deliveries of gas cylinders and handling cylinders.

You need the ability to work independently and communicate remotely with management and schedulers. You will be self-sufficient, conducting safety checks on the vehicle daily before use.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Transport goods and materials safely and timely.
  • Operate 7.5 - 26 tonne vehicles to deliver goods to various locations.
  • Load and unload cargo, ensuring it is secure for transportation.
  • Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and safety concerns daily before use, reporting any defects.
  • Maintain accurate driving logs and complete delivery paperwork.
  • Plan breaks for safety.
  • Maintain good customer skills to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Have basic knowledge of computers, handheld devices, and relevant electronic applications.
  • Communicate effectively to follow instructions, work with colleagues, and deal with clients.
  • Operate safely within the work environment, using Basic Safety Process Principles (BSP) to maintain safety standards and seek improvements.
  • Perform any other duties within your skills and abilities as reasonably requested.
