EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

As an Adoptions Engineer Technician, working in a dedicated team you’ll be our main decision maker for the adoption of new sewers on behalf of Severn Trent. We’ll be looking for you to do the vetting of all new sewer adoption and sewer diversion proposals put forward by our customers, covering everything from gravity systems to pumping stations & sustainable drainage systems! You don’t need to have the technical knowledge, we’ll give you the training and by the end, you’ll become an expert in your field, providing comprehensive technical expertise and support throughout the adoption process. You’ll focus on facilitating all legal adoption agreements and ensuring a high standard of waste water asset is offered for adoption in line with the Design & Construction Guidance, the company design manual and any other applicable civil engineering standards.

Other Accountabilities for the role:-

  • Responsible for critically evaluating the design of sewer adoption & sewer diversion proposals ensuring all relevant standards are met
  • Delivering a high standard of customer service to our Developer customers every day
  • Support in the delivery of the most efficient and sustainable design solutions enabling the best hydraulic performance available and reducing the need for pumping stations where possible on drainage systems put forward for adoption
  • Work closely with our Construction Project Managers in the field to assess and provide options & solutions to developers & consultant engineers to support in the successful delivery of sewer adoption & diversion applications
  • Evaluate sewer diversions to ensure the integrity & performance of our existing network is not compromised avoiding any disruption to our existing customers
  • Technically assess camera surveys of constructed sewers and advise developers of defects to be repaired prior to adoption

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
