Job summary

Family Action is recruiting an Adoption Support Worker in West Yorkshire. The role supports adopted adults and birth families, providing intermediary services and reunion support within our adult adoption service across Yorkshire, North East Lincolnshire, and North Lincolnshire.

You will liaise with partner agencies, apply knowledge of adoption law and practice, and work as part of a supportive team to deliver the service with flexible working arrangements and regular travel.

Our adult adoption support service works primarily with adopted adults and birth families. Adopted adults can access their records and receive an intermediary service and be supported through a reunion. Birth families are supported at the time of losing children to adoption, and supported with keeping in touch arrangements.

We are looking for a Social Worker who has experience of working directly with those affected by adoption. You will have experience and knowledge of adoption law and practice and able to liaise with partner agencies to deliver the service in Yorkshire, North East Lincolnshire, and North Lincolnshire.
