Job summary

Barclays in Glasgow/Knutsford is seeking an Adoption Software Engineer to design, develop and improve software delivering modern digital platform capabilities for customers and colleagues. You will work in a Product Operating Model with cross-functional teams to implement secure solutions using Java, BDD, AWS and identity technologies.

The role emphasizes secure coding, testing practices, and the adoption of new technologies across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience with permissions, Policy as Code, and access control models including RBAC, ABAC, and ReBAC.
• Extensive Java development skills, BDD experience, and knowledge of AWS.
• Understanding of authentication, authorisation, IAM, and related identity solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and improve software to deliver business and technology capabilities for customers and colleagues.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define requirements and strategies.
• Participate in code reviews and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
