Job summary

Lambeth Council in London is recruiting a Missing Prevention Worker on a 12-month fixed-term basis. The role is full-time and hybrid, with a PO1 salary band of £43,308–£45,852 per year inclusive of London Weighting.

Join the Adolescent Early Support Team to deliver early intervention, prevention and engagement services for 11–18-year-olds at risk of missing. You will work across families, schools and partner agencies to ensure safer outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience working with vulnerable adolescents.
• Understanding exploitation and contextual safeguarding.
• Skilled at engaging hard-to-reach young people.

• Committed to improving safety and outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with young people who go missing or are at risk of going missing.
• Build trusted relationships to identify underlying causes and vulnerabilities.
• Deliver prevention and safety planning interventions.
• Support return home conversations and follow-up work.
• Work closely with families, schools and partner agencies.
• Help reduce exploitation and contextual risks.
