Job summary

Lambeth Council is recruiting Social Workers to join the Adolescent Early Support Team, a proactive service for 11–18 year-olds. You will build trusted relationships, assess needs and plan interventions that prevent escalation and support education and family stability.

We value trauma-informed, culturally responsive work, with flexible hours and a focus on reducing harm and inequality. DBS and Cifas checks are required for successful applicants.

Qualifications

• Qualified and registered Social Worker with adolescent experience.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and contextual risk awareness.
• Excellent engagement and relationship-building skills.
• Commitment to strengths-based, trauma-informed practice.

Responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships with young people and families.
• Undertake assessments and develop intervention plans.
• Deliver direct work addressing risk, resilience and wellbeing.
• Coordinate multi-agency support and promote safe outcomes.
• Support those facing family conflict and emerging vulnerability.
