Job summary

Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust is expanding its adolescent inpatient unit at Alumhurst Road, Bournemouth. The RMN/RNLD role involves direct work with young people and families, delivering assessments and therapeutic activity in a 24-hour service.

Supervision and training will be provided, with relocation support available. The post is based in a brand-new 8-bed High Intensity Environment, with full-time 37.5 hours per week, and flexible options for part-time applicants.

Qualifications

• Registered RMN with current NMC registration.
• Experience with CAMHS or working with adolescents in inpatient settings is preferred.
• Understanding of the Mental Health Act 1983 and risk assessment processes.
• Knowledge of psychotropic medication management.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual care to young people in an adolescent inpatient unit.
• Deliver assessments and therapeutic work within Thrive framework.
• Support safe activities and liaise with families and multidisciplinary teams.
