Job Description:

I am currently recruiting for an ADMS Software Delivery Manager to work for a global manufacturing company based out of their Edinburgh office.
My client is a world leader in Grid Software solutions, enabling companies worldwide to optimize their control of the Grid and the transition towards sustainable energy sources.
Responsibilities:

• The Services Delivery Manager owns the project's Delivery Model and is the Technical Leader on the project, working with highly skilled teams to manage and execute software deployment, configuration, integration, and testing.
• Share responsibility with the Project Manager (PM) for scope management (including change requests assessment), risk management, and problem resolution through close coordination.
• Control project execution by building effective Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), tracking activities to update the Project Manager on progress, and implementing delivery using Agile methodologies when applicable.
• Be accountable for end-to-end project delivery to meet schedule, cost, and quality commitments.
• Contribute to customer management activities for technical coordination, establishing trust, and meeting delivery commitments, in collaboration with the Project Manager who manages customer relationships.
• Drive excellence in execution through continuous improvement, change management, and Agile/DevOps delivery methodologies.
• Trigger and validate engineering Gate Reviews (Solution, Factory Testing Readiness, Site Acceptance Readiness).
• Assist in tendering by validating the delivery model and estimations in coordination with regional and global teams.
• Work with the Project Manager to report or resolve process non-conformances promptly.
• Validate project scope reviews with the Solution Design team, identifying, documenting, and estimating change requests or risks, and communicating with the customer.

Essential Criteria:

• Experience with Advanced Distribution Management Systems (ADMS) Electrical Networks or Energy Management Systems (EMS)
• Experience working with Linux, Oracle, Scripting, Database Knowledge - Python experience (desired)
• Proven years of experience in leading the delivery of complex software solutions
• Proven experience in a senior technical role within a system integrator or software consultancy
• Experience in defining and managing delivery teams
• Experience in defining and assigning work packages
• Knowledge of DevOps and Agile methodologies
• Industry knowledge in operations and multi-site project organizations
• Process and methodology orientation
