GBS is seeking an Admissions Officer to join our dynamic and expanding Admissions team. This key role supports GBS's growth and offers an excellent opportunity to be part of our ambitious, fast-paced team.

The Admissions Office plays a central role in student recruitment, ensuring a fair, efficient, and transparent process that promotes equitable access for potential students.

Reporting to the regional Admissions Manager, we need an organized, efficient individual who complies with regulatory and internal policies, thrives under pressure, and adapts quickly in a growing higher education environment.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support the admissions team to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Contribute to meeting recruitment targets across programs.
  • Manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance.
  • Input and correct applicant data, prepare statistical reports.
  • Provide advice and guidance to applicants verbally and in writing.
  • Handle inquiries related to applications and admissions policies.
  • Conduct initial application checks (entry requirements, criminal checks, immigration).
  • Monitor applicant responses and update records.
  • Assist with assessments and interviews, including invigilation.
  • Schedule interviews via phone, email, SMS.
  • Respond to inquiries from prospective students professionally.
  • Support open days and other activities as needed.
Requirements
  • Experience handling demanding individuals and resolving problems calmly.
  • Self-sufficient with administrative tasks and initiative.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to build professional relationships.
  • Adaptable to change and new challenges.
  • Proactive, motivated, approachable.
  • Ability to work under pressure and flexibly, including evenings/weekends.
  • Methodical, accurate, detail-oriented.

  • Degree or relevant experience.
  • Understanding of the student lifecycle and admissions processes.
  • Experience in admissions or related roles; familiarity with student management systems (e.g., SITS, Salesforce).
  • Knowledge of UKVI Sponsoring System & Student Route regulations.
  • Creative problem-solver; multilingual skills advantageous.
